WELCOME
Hey, I'm Alex Cryss. Welcome to my website. I'm 16 years old and I love exploring the world. I am the host of a web series called CRYSS-CROSSING THE WORLD. On the show, you can follow me as I explore amazing places and learn really interesting stuff about our planet, from visiting different countries to learning about the environment, from encountering wildlife to learning about creatures that lived millions of years ago.

Join me here for action, adventure and fun. There's always something new. In the coming weeks, we will be premiering new webisodes featuring me in Costa Rica and with the curator of the Burpee Museum of Natural History. This summer, I'm going to be exploring some sites linked to the legendary continent of Atlantis.

The big news this week though... I got my driver's license!!!

I hope you enjoy the site! Take it easy.

MAMMOTHS AND MASTODONS INVADE CHICAGO!!!
Hey everyone, you know how it is cool to see elephants at the zoo? Well, why not journey back through the Ice Age to view some of Earth's largest and most awe-inspiring mammals, ancient relatives to modern elephants, in Mammoths and Mastodons: Titans of the Ice Age. Monumental video installations, hands-on interactive displays, life-sized models, fossil tusks and skulls—even touchable teeth—bring these ancient giants back to life. Don't miss the 42,000-year-old intact baby mammoth named Lyuba (pronounced Lee-OO-bah), the best-preserved mammoth specimen ever discovered!

You can check out the Field Museum's special website section here for more information. http://www.fieldmuseum.org/mammoths/

Experts stumped by ancient Jerusalem markings
Israeli diggers who uncovered a complex of rooms carved into the bedrock in the oldest section of the city recently found the markings: Three "V'' shapes cut next to each other into the limestone floor of one of the rooms, about 2 inches (5 centimeters) deep and 20 inches (50 centimeters) long. There were no finds to offer any clues pointing to the identity of who made them or what purpose they served. Full Text
